●who we are
Sideband is a brand of Byte Size Web Solutions, which runs this site and the shop and is responsible for the information described here. Mail: PO Box 17074, Edmonton RPO UPTOWN, AB T5K 0G4, Canada.
●what we collect
Orders. Your name, email, shipping address, what you bought and what you paid. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see your card number.
The email list. Your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, where on the site you signed up (and for which drop), and how you arrived (campaign tags in the link, the page you landed on, and the site that linked you).
Browsing. Our own analytics records the pages you view, the address of the page that sent you, campaign tags in the link, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll and how long a page is open, what you add to or take out of the cart, your screen size and connection type, your device type, browser and operating system, and your country and city. Country and city are looked up from your IP address by Cloudflare as the request comes in; the IP address itself isn't stored.
●cookies and browser storage
The site uses a few small cookies and your browser's storage to keep your cart, count visits, remember a returning browser, and note how you arrived (for example from an Instagram post) for 30 days. This runs on our own analytics, not an ad network: no third-party trackers or advertising cookies run on this site. Stripe's checkout page is on Stripe's own site and follows Stripe's privacy policy.
●how we use it
Order details are used to take payment, make and ship your order, email your receipt and shipping updates, and sort things out if something goes wrong.
The email list is used to send drop emails, only after you confirm your address from the email we send. Unsubscribe any time from the link in any list email.
Analytics and the arrival details tell us what's working: which pages, posts and emails bring people in, and which of those lead to orders. When you check out, your visit and how you arrived go along with the order, and our analytics receives a copy of the order (email, items, amounts, province and country). So once you buy, your browsing on this site is linked to your order. Signups carry the same arrival details.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
●who handles it
The checkout, email and analytics systems are our own software, running on Cloudflare. These services do the rest:
- Stripe — takes payment. Gets your card, name, email and address; the order and its arrival details are attached to the payment.
- Printful — makes and ships each piece, from its facilities in the United States and Canada. Gets your name, email, shipping address and the items.
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — sends our emails (receipts, shipping notices, list confirmations and drop emails) from its Canada (Central) region in Montréal.
- Neon — hosts the databases for orders, the email list and analytics, in the United States.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, DNS and our own services, and handles your IP address as it serves each request.
Each has its own privacy policy. They only receive the information needed to do their job.
●where it's stored
Some of your information is stored and processed outside Canada, mainly in the United States: the order, email list and analytics databases (Neon), orders made at Printful's US facilities, and payments at Stripe. While it's there, US law applies to it.
●your choices
To turn off analytics in a browser, open this link once. Nothing more is recorded from that browser until you clear its cookies; how you arrived still goes along with an order or signup. Clearing this site's cookies and storage in your browser removes everything it keeps there.
●your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold and request corrections or deletion.

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. Material changes get announced via the email list.
